CD Review & Giveaway: Yanni - Truth Of Touch

Thanks to One2One Network, I received the latest CD from Yanni to review, Truth of Touch.


Truth of Touch was released back in February and marks a return to Yanni's more instrumental style of music. Yes, Yanni fans can breathe a sigh of relief - he's back to normal. (LOL) All of the songs included on this latest album are all new - his first in eight years, and sound much more like the Yanni of old. Most old school Yanni fans (like my mother!) should be thrilled with this CD, but don't expect it to be a carbon copy of old songs although it does have some of his old school "New Age-y" tone. There are a few songs with vocals, and I will admit I would have loved for the CD to be all instrumental myself - but all in all, it's a solid release from Yanni and one that should be more pleasing to his fans.

"Voyage" was my favorite off the album, but I also really enjoyed "O Luce Che Brilla Nell' Oscurit�" as it has more of an opera tone to it.
