Barnes & Noble has announced new features for its Nook color device through firmware update v1.2. New features include built-in email and an Android operating system update for enhanced Web browsing. The Nook also now has paid apps, which includes games like Angry Birds and Uno. Barnes & Noble's software update also expands the Nook Kids digital picture book experience.
Barnes & Noble has also launched a new Read Forever ad campaign for the Nook. The campaign includes a rhyme about reading. The ad will say, "Till rhymes stop rhyming, and pots stop boiling, and everyone is happy, and there is nothing more to say. Till that day. By hook or by crook, by book or by Nook, I will read."
