Express says "utilizing Facebook enables customers to engage in feedback of items by 'liking' pieces, posting comments, recommending to friends and posting purchases. Shoppers also have the capability to add products to their wish list that are shared with the website and mobile platforms."
An e-commerce site could be easily enabled to offer all that mentioned above without Facebook, but some retailers seem to believe offering direct sales through Facebook will result in a sales boost.
